My program, literature and communication : cinema is about learning how to create a movie from different perspective. From sound engineering, casting or directing and even more. This program is teaching us how to get our grip in the movie industry and so my glossary could help people that want to try this field and are uncertain, or I will just use it to share my knowledge with the curious people of this world.

- Lamp projecting a narrow, intense beam of light directly on to a place or person, especially a performer on stage.
- Example: Spotlights followed the two dancers around the stage.

- noun
- Device for recording visual images in the form of photographs, film, or video signals.
- Example: She faced the cameras.

- cinematographer
- noun
- Person who oversees or directs photography and camerawork in movie-making, especially one who operates the camera.
- Example: The film has been shot by an award-winning cinematographer.

- noun
- Person who controls the making of a film and supervises the actors and technical crew.
- Example: Giger's works influenced a generation of movie directors.

- noun
- Person who writes a screenplay.
- Example: He was, however, also a screenwriter who specialized in fantasy film and horror film.

- noun
- The person with overall responsibility for the selection and interpretation of the works performed by a theater, ballet, or opera company.
- Example: Art direction is the management of creative processes that produce visual outputs such as publications, media, environments, communications and symbols.

- The process or technique of selecting, editing, and piecing together separate sections of film to form a continuous whole.
- Example: Montage was a useful device for overcoming the drawbacks of silent film.

- noun
- The person responsible for assigning roles in a film, play, or other production.
- Example: He went to the casting director and said he wanted to be in it.

- noun
- Technician dealing with acoustics for a broadcast or musical performance.
- Example: Think of the problems that will create for a television sound engineer who is trying to cover his speech; the sound level will come and go.

- Example: Nonstop action rollercoaster filled with amazing stunts and spectacular special effects.
